Bitossi Pottery Wicker Vase

Collectors refer to this pattern as the "Wicker" decor by Bitossi. It has an off-white base with colorful pops of orange, yellow, green, and black in the pattern. Founded in 1921, the Italian company really made their mark during the 1950s and ’60s under the art direction of Aldo Londi. 

In overall very good vintage condition with a faded original sticker on base. Some light flea bites in the glaze or pottery that are very common with the softer clay used by Bitossi. There are also gray splatters in some of the textured creases towards the base that we assume are paint flicks, but we have not tried to remove them with any chemicals so as not to damage the original glaze. They may be removeable. Pictured and reflected in price.
