With cool mustard yellow, black, and white tones, this hand-painted bird dish was made by Kähler Ceramics in Denmark.

Herman August Kähler (1846–1917) was a Danish ceramic designer and manufacturer whose work helped transform Kähler ceramics from utilitarian kitchenware into internationally recognized art pottery. Herman’s son, Herman Hans Christian Kähler, took over management in 1901 and continued the tradition. The HAK mark, introduced in 1883, became the signature on all Kähler products. The company’s balance of art, craftsmanship, and affordability has kept it relevant for over 180 years, making it one of Denmark’s oldest ceramic brands.

In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Marked on base with signature and Denmark.

Dimensions: 5" diameter
